One of my favorite things is traveling to new and exciting places. I travel quite a bit when I am touring, and I take a vacation or two with my sister every year. I’ve traveled all over North America and Europe and can’t wait to go see more of the world. I’ve been to Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, France, Alaska, Cancun, Portugal, Hawaii, Italy, Greece, Mexico, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Saint Maarten, the Caribbean and so many places in the US!!
Ireland
Ireland is definitely one of my favorite travel destinations. I’ve been twice and both times I traveled through the entire country. My first trip even inspired a whole album from me, which happens to be my most popular album, A Celtic Dream. The Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle, The Giant’s Causeway and Causeway Coastline, Dublin, Killarney National Park, and the Ring of Kerry are some of my favorite Irish destinations.
United Kingdom (Scotland, England, Wales)
I took a trip to the UK a few years ago and spent nearly a month there, traveling around and checking out castles and amazing sights. Wales was my favorite, for the scenic beauty, and the enormous castles, the Welsh language which reminded me of a mix between Gaelic and German. England was incredible, and Scotland was too. If I could pick a place to go live for a year, I think it would be the UK. So much to see, so much history, the people are wonderful, more castles to explore than you know how to handle, and more colors of green than you knew existed.
Italy
I spent half of my honeymoon in Italy when I got married in 2007. We visited Venice, Milan, Pisa, Florence, Rome, Tuscany, Positano and lots of places in between. My favorite part about Italy is the food, and the history and architecture. The people are so friendly and welcoming, and the language is so romantic and beautiful. Venice was my absolute favorite. I would like to go back and spend more time there. My songs “The Eternal City”, “Venizia”, and “Drifting Through Antiquity” are all about my adventures in Italy.
Alaska
I have visited Alaska twice now, both on cruises. The first cruise went from Seattle to the Tracy Arm Fjord, Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway. The second cruise went from Anchorage to the Hubbard Glacier, to Glacier National Park, and then to Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan. If you have a chance to do both cruises, it’s worth it! There is so much beauty in Alaska, and it really is indescribable. You just have to experience it for yourself to truly feel the magic of it. I love it so much that I would love to take a cruise there once a year. My songs “Spiritual Awakening” and “Misty Fjords” are both about my trips to Alaska.
Paris
Ahhh, Paris! Such a neat city, with amazing architecture, history, and things to see and do. Notre Dame Cathedral is my favorite, and the Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, The Dome Church, the Paris Opera House, the Arc de Triomphe, and so much more. It’s a gorgeous city both in the daylight, and at night time when everything is lighted up. I’ve been to Paris twice now, and long to go back.
What’s next??? I’m thinking Germany, Austria and Switzerland! Maybe another trip to Italy? I’m going on another Audiosyncracy At Sea cruise in June to Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and Cozumel, which should be so much fun. If you want to come, cabins are still available!! The artists playing on that cruise are Elijah Bossenbroek and Matteo Palmer. It’s definitely going to be a great time.
